Gallery of fibers, fabrics, and plants
made into functional objects
(this page is being redesigned)
These are a selection of the finished objects I have made and continue to make. I have been working with dyes and cloth since 2001, and I mark 2007 as the year I really began knitting with a passion and for my growing fiber arts career. Natural materials basketry began in 2009 but in earnest in 2023.
After moving back to the United States in 2006 from southern Vietnam, where I had been living and teaching, I felt a strong and sudden urge to immerse myself in fibers. The image gallery below represents my years of hands-on learning, designing, experimenting, and devotion. I have been based in Western North Carolina for most of my life.
I am currently working to immerse myself in basketry, specifically whole rod willow and bark weaving. I earn a living from my batik studio and traveling to teach fiber & textile workshops of all kinds.
